Hole 1

Pro Tip - A golf hole that looks easy on paper but that can have a sting in its tail. The tee shot requires you to think about distance – hit the ball too far and you'll be blocked out by the trees. The ideal line would be slightly right of the thin tree to give you the best access to the unusual “St Andrews style” double green. Big hitters though, may be tempted to give it a go......

Hole 10

Pro Tip - Any miss-hits here could well be drawn into the lake, and any shots leaked to the left could finish out of bounds on this long and picturesque Par-3. The greenside bunker is longer than it looks from the tee, and whilst you want to avoid it, it will prevent some balls drifting into the lake.

Hole 11

Pro Tip - Another hole bordered by the historical Ridegway roman road (to the left), this hole
requires a well placed tee shot to avoid the out of bounds to the left, and water to the  right. A
shot that drifts to the left of the bunker from the tee, will end in deep rough – so don't be tempted to try and cut the corner – there is no need. A well positioned tee shot, will leave the green open for your approach.

Hole 16

Pro Tip - The 16th hole is another that is pleasing to the eye and one which offers a challenge – especially for shorter hitters. The marshland area – filled for much of the year with tall bull-rushes will need to be carried if your tee shot is to reach the green. The green itself is small and although fairly unguarded, can cause problems. Make sure you give choose enough club here, you are better to be long than short on this hole.

Hole 17

Pro Tip - Our risk or reward hole. The big hitters will look to take on the water and find the green with their tee shot, but anything that is too long will leave a difficult chip back towards the water.  The percentage play is to lay up down the left hand side, taking the water out of play and setting up a mid – short iron approach to the well protected green.
